SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES AND EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF A TRANSPORT COMPANY

Background. Company management is one of the most complex processes. The key to successful functioning of an economic entity is the correct choice of an organizational structure of management with following thorough control. The purpose of this work is practical application of the acquired knowledge in the field of management. The sector of transport services was taken as an example being the most popular today among consumers.
Materials and methods. With the help of the theoretical method of research, the main aspects of the specifics of transport companies were studied and analyzed. The types of organizational management structures were also investigated in order to identify the most effective ones.
Results. The study has revealed that the linear-functional type of management is most effective for transport companies.
Conclusions. A modern transport company is a complex structure, the success of which depends, first of all, on the management mechanism. It is also important to analyze the industry as a whole and to diagnose external factors of influence.
